Tsarevo resort is situated in southern part of the Bulgarian Black Sea region. The name of the village originates from the Hellenic denomination Vasiliko, which means “the village of the kings”.

There are lots of heritage traces left throughout the ages by the development of ancient civilizations - Thracian era dolmens (6th century BC), sanctuaries, Christian chapels and churches etc.
