Ahtopol resort is located in the southern part of The Bulgarian Black Sea Area. The name of the town has been preserved since ancient times. The Byzantine leader Agathon restored the town after the barbarian invasions and gave it its own name Agathopolis - City of Happiness, which the Bulgarians took in turn.
